Letter from Executive Director
Dear Library Friend,

We thank our community for supporting the Nashville Public Library Foundation. With the help of dedicated people who joined us on our journey to enhance Nashville’s great Library, we experienced a wonderful year!

The Foundation provided over $2 million to enhance the work of the Library. Highlights include new after school youth programs, digital signage at the Main Library, and Nashville’s International Puppet Festival. We also completed the Martin-Turner Oral History and Special Collections Center and brought StoryCorps to the Main Library. And we raised the funds and put plans in place for the renovation of the Young Adult space at Main Library in memory of Anne Potter Wilson.

We continued with our core projects, the pre-school literacy program Bringing Books to Life and its traveling Puppet Truck, Concerts in the Courtyard, several visual art exhibits and added thousands of books to the Library’s collection.

The Nashville Public Library is vital to our city. In these times, it becomes the destination for even more patrons as our community looks to the Library for employment information, educational programs and recreational opportunities.

Know that the Foundation is committed to the responsible stewardship of your gifts. Your support is needed now, more than ever.

Sincerely,
Tari P. Hughes
Executive Director
