Once the library simply added a new hard cover book as soon as it was published. Today, in addition to traditional print copies, NPL offers a new title in a variety of other formats—large print, audio book, digital download, and pre-recorded books on a hand-held device. This means a new book that once cost $17.16 may now cost $282, given all the possible media.
